about
Featured on The New Weird Australia, Collapse Theories compilation, Quiero Volar is fittingly ''A cathartic burst, a riotous exclamation, a primal scream.'
Quiero Volar was composed during the first lockdown, international flights were cancelled and so was an imminent trip for us to visit Paul's home and family in Mexico, something he had been really looking forward to.The song is symbolic of asymbolic of a transmuted frustration and freedom found in our imaginations and creativity instead. We spent our winter of 2020 in a dilapidated, drafty, soon to be demolished house; we were composing, experimenting with video and lighting mostly with all the windows blacked out- from this Quiero Volar was born.
